Dihydroergotamine Methanesulfonate Salt is a competitive serotonin antagonist and vasoconstrictor.

A synthetic steroid with antigonadotropic and anti-estrogenic activities that acts as an anterior pituitary suppressant by inhibiting the pituitary output of gonadotropins. It possesses some androgenic properties. Danazol has been used in the treatment of endometriosis and some benign breast disorders.

Glucosamine is commonly used as a treatment for osteoarthritis, although its acceptance as a medical therapy varies. It is an amino sugar and a prominent precursor in the biochemical synthesis of glycosylated proteins and lipids. Since glucosamine is a precursor for glycosaminoglycans, and glycosaminoglycans are a major component of joint cartilage, supplemental glucosamine may help to rebuild cartilage and treat arthritis.

Didanosine is a potent inhibitor of HIV replication, acting as a chain-terminator of viral DNA by binding to reverse transcriptase; ddI is then metabolized to dideoxyadenosine triphosphate, its putative active metabolite.

A tetracycline analog having a 7-chloro and a 6-methyl. Because it is excreted more slowly than tetracycline, it maintains effective blood levels for longer periods of time.

Guanfacine hydrochloride, a centrally acting anti-hypertensive agent, has been reported to be a specific α2A-AR adrenoceptor agonist. Activation of these α2A-AR adrenoreceptors has been shown to cause a decrease in blood pressure in vitro. Additional studies suggest that Guanfacine hydrochloride plays a role in solute/sodium osmoregulation and excretion.

Guanabenz acetate is an α2A-AR adrenergic agonist and IGRS (imidazoline I2 binding site) selective ligand. Guanabenz acetate is an activator of alpha2B-AR (α2b-adrenergic receptor) and alpha2C-AR (α2c-adrenergic receptor).

Glycerol is a simple polyol (sugar alcohol) compound. It is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations. Glycerol has three hydroxyl groups that are responsible for its solubility in water and its hygroscopic nature. The glycerol backbone is central to all lipids known as triglycerides. Glycerol is sweet-tasting and generally considered non-toxic.
